New Chapter – „Freedom of Speech” (Elgar Encyclopedia of Comparative Law 2023)

New Chapter – „Freedom of Speech” (Elgar Encyclopedia of Comparative Law 2023)

We are delighted to announce that in the Elgar Encyclopedia of Comparative Law was published the chapter on Freedom of Speech (p. 139–150) by Grzegorz Blicharz which analysis freedom of speech in comparative law and historical perspectives.

More pluralism and methodological rigour are permeating the comparative legal research on freedom of speech, but much more is needed. This chapter builds on previous comparative law publications edited by Grzegorz Blicharz which focused on freedoms of speech, religion and conscience, family, and public policy.

Elgar Encyclopedia edited by Jan Smits, Maastricht University, Jaakko Husa, University of Helsinki, Catherine Valcke, University of Toronto and Madalena Narciso, Legal Service, European Commission, is a three volume set focused on comparative law: a useful tool for many researchers and the general public. It is also available online and the pre-print version of the chapter on freedom of speech is accessible at SSRN.
